The ski fields were closed because of the snow storm. We were sick of sitting around in our hostel. The snow had come down to 100m and we decided to check it out.

We followed the Queenstown Hill Walking Trail up from behind our hostel and into the pine forest. We emerged into the snow and clouds before they opened up to an epic view of Queenstown, the Remarkables and Laka Wakatipu.
